Travel and Health Insurance

It is compulsory for all international students studying in New Zealand to have medical insurance. Your school or institution may be able to help you purchase insurance. Sometimes, insurance costs will be part of your study fees

  • All students must hold a current and valid visa to study at the International College of Auckland.
  • All students must hold a valid medical and travel insurance to cover the duration of their studies and visa in New Zealand.
  • You must have a student visa as required under the Immigration Act to obtain authority to study as an international student in New Zealand.
    • Full details of visa requirements, advice on rights to employment in New Zealand while studying and reporting requirements are available at the Immigration New Zealand website at http://www.immigration.govt.nz.
    • Students are required to describe on the application form a brief report on their health including any medical conditions and/or mental or physical disabilities.
