Hands-on training in IT infrastructure, networking and technical support, preparing graduates for frontline and second-line support roles.
The programme aims to produce graduates who are ready to be launched into the global and New Zealand information technology industry. Graduates will have the following technical and core IT skills:
An interview process is available to determine whether any specific support is required and to ensure applicants are well informed about the programme.
Applicants must meet the minimum academic entry requirements and have achieved an overall band score (Academic) of 6.0 IELTS (writing, speaking, reading and listening bands no less than 5.5), or an equivalent (see the English Language Test table below). Existing English proficiency may also be evidenced where the medium of instruction in primary and secondary studies was English, or where the applicant has studied full-time for three years in New Zealand, the USA, Canada, Australia or the UK.
You can use the English language tests below to meet ICA's English language requirements. You must satisfy the requirements in one sitting, and results are valid for two years from the date on the test certificate.
Students are required to have a computer device (laptop or desktop) with internet access, a web browser and a minimum screen size of 10 inches. For more information on device specifications, please contact marketing@ica.ac.nz or your Head of Department.
