Dr. Muhammad Faraz Shaikh is a senior academician with over 20 years of experience in teaching, research, and quality assurance across universities and the tertiary education sector in New Zealand and overseas. He holds a PhD in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the University of Auckland, where his research focused on wearable sensing systems and robust control of electrical stimulation for gait rehabilitation.
Dr. Shaikh has taught courses in electrical and electronics engineering, biomedical engineering, and information technology at tertiary level. His academic interests include electronics and embedded systems, biomedical instrumentation, IoT, sensor fusion, machine learning, and applied engineering education. Alongside teaching, he has contributed to publications in internationally recognised journals and conferences. He is passionate about engineering education, applied research, and developing practical, industry-focused learning experiences for students.
