ADVISORY BOARD
Mohamed Elsayed is a distinguished project and programme management leader with over two decades of experience delivering complex infrastructure and development projects across New Zealand and internationally. Currently serving as Lead of Development for Large-Scale Projects at Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities, Mohamed manages programmes with budgets exceeding NZD $900 million, including high-profile urban housing and infrastructure developments.
A Chartered Fellow of the CIOB and a certified PMP and RMP, Mohamed brings deep expertise in strategic planning, commercial delivery, risk management, and governance. He has led major developments such as the Hamad International Airport terminal expansion and Kāinga Ora’s flagship 139 Greys Ave project in Auckland.
Mohamed serves on several boards and academic panels, including Massey University’s School of Built Environment and The Chartered Institute of Building (North Island Chair). His leadership is rooted in sustainable construction, modern building technologies, and future-focused governance.
As Chair of the ICA Academic Advisory Board, Mohamed contributes his strategic insight and industry leadership to guide programme development, institutional planning, and alignment with New Zealand’s infrastructure and skills priorities. His presence on the board strengthens ICA’s vision of producing industry-ready graduates equipped for the evolving demands of the built environment.
